Windows XP Event Viewer shows:
The Trend Micro Solution Platform service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s).
Can anyone advise?

I would need some logs to analyze first....
All RKreport logs located on your desktop.
Download OTL to your Desktop.
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ComObjects\*.* /s
Download aswmbr.exe ( 1.8mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it Click the "Scan" button to start scan.
Click the [Scan] button to start scan
On completion of the scan click [Save log], save it to your desktop and post in your next reply.

Do you have other security software? If there isn't any, you can try to reinstall your Trend Micro program. You can refer to this link for your Trend Micro program.

There is a possibility that the Trend Micro Solution Platform service component was corrupted - reason why it was terminated itself unexpectedly. You may try restarting the services from the Diagnostic Toolkit and check if issue will still persist. If it does, you may need to re-install your Trend Micro program as suggested above.
a.Go to Start > Programs > <Trend Micro Titanium program>.
b.Click More tools and help > Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
c.When the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit opens, click the Uninstall tab.
d.Click Stop all components.
e. After a few minutes, click Start all components.

Am facing the same issue.
Attached is my OTL scanning output
(Incidentally, OTl.exe was detected as threat my TM and terminated.
So can you tell me if i have a hardware problem or malware?
I seem to have random freezes where explorer freezes completely.
I even system restored to a previous windows update to ensure it did not happen due to Microsoft.
