Manually downloading Trend Micro Mobile Security Personal Edition for Android

“If you are having problems installing Trend Micro Mobile Security from the Google Play Store, then we can help you out. Just follow the instructions below to get protected.”

 

Note: Check this setting BEFORE downloading the installer

Make sure you have enabled the installation of non-Market applications on your mobile device. To do this:

 

  1. From your Android device, go to "Settings" -> "Applications"

  2. Select "Unknown sources"; the 'Attention' pop-up appears

  3. Tap "OK"

  4. After you finish installing Mobile Security we recommend you change this setting back to its original state.

 

To download and install Mobile Security

 

  1. Open this link on your Android Device www.trendmicro.com/mobiledownload

  2. Or scan the following attached QR code using your Android device. This will download the installer directly to your Android device.

  3. Once the download completes it should say so in your notification bar, just tap the notification message and the app should install and run.

     

For Titanium Maximum Security Customers:

If your app came with Titanium Maximum Security, please follow these steps:

 

  1. After installing Mobile Security, register using the same email address & password used to activate Titanium program.

  2. From within Mobile Security, tap Extend Protection, and use the Activation Key you received from your Titanium program.

 

Note: If you have not yet received your Mobile Security Activation Key from your Titanium installation do the following:

 

  1. Go to your Desktop computer and open your Titanium Maximum Security program.

  2. When the program opens click on "Tools" button.

  3. Click "Broaden Your Protection"

  4. Click "Sign In" under Trend Micro Mobile Security.

  5. Type the email address and password you used to activate your Titanium program.

  6. You will see a new window with your Activation Key.

 

For customers who have purchased Mobile Security Personal Edition from a retail store:

  1. Please follow the installation steps above.

  2. Once installed and registered, find the Activation Key in your retail pack and use it to “Extend Protection”
