removed TM, now can't connect to internet

[ Edited ]

My TM 2008 had expired and I kept getting pop-ups asking me to renew.  I went to this webpage http://esupport.trendmicro.com/Pages/How-do-I-remove-old-or-new-versions-of-Trend-Micro-products-in-my-comp.aspx, downloaded the diagnostic toolkit, ran it and now I can't connect to the internet.  I did a quick search on the forums so forgive me if this has already been answered...I'm borrowing this computer to access online and hopefully a solution, and don't have much time online since it's not my computer.

I thought I had system restore on, but unfortunately it was not so I can't restore it to the point before I did the toolkit.

I can see my wireless router,  but can't connect to it.  I get an 2 error messages when I run diagnose and repair:

1.  The network adapter "Intel (R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connnection is experiencing driver or hardware related issues."   I downloaded the correct drivers from my mom's computer and reinstalled them on mine so it is not the drivers.

2.  Make sure your Internet Protocol Bindings are correct (Version 4 and 6).  I checked, they are checked.

Please help!

Edit:  I have Vista running on a HPDV9207us Pavillion laptop.
