do not get Any writable CD"s since that first process was told by me as safty step so that if the pc is unbootable we can fix it since we will have a solution that will be available at hand.
But since u have alerdy fixed it...u dont need any writable DVD"s
Just rerun aswmbr and attach a fresh log....Did u do a system restore?
Please repeat the step 2 in my previous instruction and ensure that the partition is removed and doesnt exist...report back with the log and status.

I did not do this part:
"Open run.
type in:
diskmgmt.msc
Now on the 7.13GB partition right click and click on delete volume.
It should be gone now.
Report back with a fresh Aswmbr log.[rerun the tool again and click save log at the end]."
I cannot right click on the 7gb partition. Only option is "Help". The other partitions offer a full menu of options when using right click.
I did not do a system restore. I did do the Tweaking.com System Repair that seemed to restore everything and modify registries, etc.

I don't get the option to delete the volume. I only get the option of 'help' when I right click. See the print screens attached below.
hasn't crashed...? After the Tweaking.com repairs i had to reregister my windows and reinstall all updates. I was trying to get a recovery disc before deleting the partition. But, no recovery disc and no clear way to delete the partition from the disk managment console.

Oh my....I have spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out the restore book. Just finished tech support with Sony and figured out a way. Now to go out and purchase writable DVDs - all I have are CDs. So back to this tomorrow night.

partition is still there... log is attached

Open my computer....
how many partitions are there?
[c:/ d:/ etc]

was trying to get a system repair disc made per the directions to create one prior to deleting the partition. The directions provided in your string did not correlate to my options available. I did not not have the option to create a system repair disc from the Backup and Restore utility. Apparently it needs to be created through the VAIO utility.
no crashing. just trying to follow directions. apparently - not doing so well.
