I'm also experiencing the same problem on two Win7 desktops with TM2010. I uninstalled then reinstalled TM and so far (2days later) it is still working, but for how long????

Incredibly just minutes after posting that everything was working fine (after a reinstall) it has failed again. I assume an update came down.

Hi All,
Can you try this fix for loss of internet connection after you have updated your TIS/TIS Pro/TAV?
A. Stop TIS/TAV/TIS Pro Temporarily
Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security > Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit.
Note: If you are using Windows Vista, right-click on Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit then select Run as administrator. If a User Account Control window appears, click Continue, or enter the password for an administrator account then click OK.
Click [A] General Tab then select Quit All Modules
B. Download the Tool on this Thread
Save the file on your my documents folder. Once you have downloaded the file rename the file to InternetFix.exe then double click it.
It will ask if you wanted to replace the file on your computer, just click yes for this prompt.
C. Restart the protection - double click the Trend Icon on your Desktop

Can you guys try this video if the instructions above is not that clear
To check if you have followed this correctly you can perform the following steps
- Open C:\windows\system32\drivers
- Right click and select properties for VsapiNT.sys
- Click the version tab and confirm that your file version is 8.960.0.1019 (See screen shot below)

Mine says 1019. Still not working.

I am running a Vista machine with TMIS(pro) and am having the same issue - I noticed an issue last night and the only way to get IE8 or Outlook to see the internet is to turn off the TMIS program complete. I have tried turning off items within the program like firewall but this still does not allow access. I followed the steps listed on page 1 associated with Trend Micro Smart Protection and I can now surf the net using IE8. No emails unless I turn it off.
Should I try the revert feature?
I can post all the version number of the TMIS if required but I am guessing the issue is common to a few people.

I just downloaded the interfix files and followed the instructions - IE8 is still working with the original changes but no email - so it did not work for me. Great.
My kids have the same program on XP machines and they have not said anything but they mainly use IE8 rather than outlook so might not have detected any issues.

I have the exact same issue on my wife's laptop (Mine is a Mac - WOO haha).
I have done everything suggested in this thread, and at the moment it is running 1019, and internet appears to be working, but my POP3 email isn't working.
I do NOT have the Personal Firewall installed either (I use the Windows firewall, which is more than sufficient behind NAT).
Looks like Trend really dropped the ball on this one...
