Since Installing Trend Micro, Windows will not shut down

If I quit out of the product prior to shutting down, Windows XP will shut down.  Else it just sits on the Windows is shutting down screen for ever.  I just installed SP3 for Windows XP but that did not sort this out.  I am running the home version of trend micro internet security.  I do not see any other post with this issue.

Wound up checking with Support.    I was running Spyware Doctor which was interferring with this program.  Once I uninstalled it, the OS shuts down and my laptop runs at the speed that it used to run at.
