I have Trend Mico Security Internet 2008 which is licensed through 7/31/10. I am trying to upgrade to the 2010 version due to problems I keep having where I can't connect to the internet or get email when Trend is running. I'm at the screen where it asks for my serial number. After entering the number found under products, I get an error message stating "You can submit this serial number only for the Dell OEM version." What does that mean and how do I upgrade?
thanks much

Hi dkmorg. It seems to me that you are using Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 for Dell. As far as I know, the newest version for TM for Dell is 2008. The TMIS 2010 upgrade is currently available to subscribers of the regular TMIS.

Ok - thanks. Any suggestions on a problem I'm having which lead me to wanting to upgrage....recently I keep having problems connecting to the internet or getting my email when Trend is running. I get a message that says to "Download and install the driver for Trend Micro Internet Security 2008" which I can't seem to find.

Regarding this kind of issue, it might have something to do with the Firewall Profile of the Trend Micro product. Usually it should be Home Network.
The 2008 version for Dell already reached it's en of life and end of support and you need to upgrade to Trend Micro Titanium for Dell.
