ControlManager 5.5 - "Unable to create or delete sub-directory"

 

Hello all,
Recently we started having problems with our Control Manager 5.5.1250 (HF: 1350) installation. We daily have hundreds of unsuccessful scheduled updates in increments of 4,6,7 or 20 seconds. Description for the failure status is always "Unable to create or delete sub-directory.". It is the same when we try to do manual update. All volumes have enough disk space, and permissions seem to be correct, otherwise it wouldn't work all the time. After restarting the server, updates seem to work normal for few hours, and then start failing again.
When I use Sysinternals Process Monitor to monitor update operation, I notice that I get "SHARING VIOLATION" on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Control Manager\AU_Data\AU_Temp\3348_2748\DupMerge\3\1207992320\icrc$tbl.019" a multiple times. Event is logged by CmdProcessor.exe process.

 

 

Can anyone help with this problem?

Additionaly, TmuDump.txt shows load of these ...

We still have this issue. Any idea on the solution?

I have this problem too, has anyone found anything ?

 

Notice that we have re-install a new WINDOWS 2003 SERVER + CONTROL MANAGER 5.5 from scratch and the problem still exists...

 

The packages we used :

 - TM ControlManager 5.5 Build 1250Patch

 - TM ControlManager 5.5 SP1Patch

 - TM ControlManager 5.5 Build 1422

We too are facing the similar issue,

 

We stop the control manger service,

delete the content of temp folder \Progra~1\Trend Micro\Contro~1\AU_Data\AU_Temp

 

and then start the service again, and it works as the temporary fix,

 

please let me know, if any one has found out the permanent solution for this

Hi everyone I want to share my experience for all of you that impact this case in your system Please follow this rule - check your connection to download updates source to Internet - check you scheduled update setting : Updates >setting>update/deploy>set to enable HTTPS - Configure schedule update setting to 15 minutes (just for testing) - delete ALL logs maintenance from your tmcm server - try to update manual (if success continue to scheduled updates) Wait till 15 minutes - the updates will be notify in command tracking - successful - configure your delays scheduled update according to you Thankyou very much
